Text makes references to works of Gravesande, Nollet, Hauksbee et al. Most sheets are double (48.5 x 69cm.) folded to 48.5 x 34.5cm., and all are housed in a portfolio. 54 'experiments' are given in the text. Six of the plates bear 'Wm. Franks fecit'. Photocopy volumes of both text and plates are available at the same shelfmark.
