Carton for "Trilene" tablets
‘Trilene’ tablets are advertised on this box as “the only cure for stoutness”. Stoutness is another, older word for being overweight. It was a so-called ‘patent medicine’ whose recipe was secret. It is unlikely to have been of much practical use.
