‘Spasmosedine’ nerve tonic was prepared by Laboratoires Deglaude of Paris during the early 1900s. It is typical of treatments available ‘over the counter’ at pharmacists for many years. They often targeted women. They treated illnesses such as headaches, period pains and nervous conditions.
