Parts

Clear glass jar and stopper. The jar is cylindrical with a flared base and rim; the stopper is raised with a button-shaped grip. The rim and upper part of the jar are broken and a piece of the jar is missing. A printed label is afixed to the side: 'CHINESE MATERIA MEDICA / KAN CHING KUO / Used for swellings of throat and gullet / Lent by the Rev. R. T. Turley / Manchuria, China'. Below handwritten in back ink is 'Canarium album'
