Radar echo measurement model
Radar echo measurement model of modified meteor 7 aircraft.
This model was made in 1930 at RAE for wind tunnel experiments to investigate the effect on performance resulting from the addition of various types of cowling on an aircraft fitted with an air cooled radial engine. In this model the top cylinder only was heated. Tests were carried out with and without an airscrew. For the tests with airscrew a two bladed duralumin airscrew of pitch adjustment was used.
