The Nikon F3 HP camera was released in 1982 following the release of the F3 in 1980. Nikon's F-series was a line of professional 35mm SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras. The F3 was the first entirely electronic camera in the series and was popular with press photographers because it was durable and lightweight.
