Monorail bag bellows camera
- Made:
- 1851-1861
Monorail 'bag bellows' camera for 12 x 10 inch plates (T79-51). With one plate carrier. This camera is an example of a type of camera first introduced by Major Halkett in 1851. Their design was to enable large-format cameras to be carried about more easily than would have been possible with a solid construction. The bag was latter superceded by a normal bellows. One of only two known survivors of this type. See T79-52.
