Albumen print mounted on card with Colnaghi blind stamp, framed and glazed by Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879). 'From Life Registered photograph copyright Julia Margaret Cameron May 1869' inscribed in ink. Reputedly portrait of Rev. Stenton Cardley, Vicar of Streatham. Eardley was the vicar of Emmanuel Church in Streatham, Surrey. He was a friend of Alfred Tennyson (1809-1892) with whom he travelled through France and Switzerland in 1869. 34 x 27.5cm.
