Thornton Pickard Ruby camera. Quarterplate folding camera, brass and mahogany. Bellows plate. Rising and swing front. Double focussing pinions - front and back Pendulum level. Built-in tripod fittings. No.3193A. Fitted with Cooke lens 1259. No 3193.

Thornton Pickard Ruby camera, made in England, c. 1899-1904.

The Ruby is a compact quarter plate folding field camera, the front door becomes the baseboard and tripod legs can be fastened to the built-in turntable. A cheaper version of the Ruby, the Amber, was released at a similar time.
