Railway wagon, British Railways, 16T mineral wagon, No B227009, 1955.

A mineral wagon, also known as a coal truck, is a small open-topped goods wagon used to carry coal and other products from mines. This mineral wagon was built in 1955 and is capable of carrying up to 16 tons of product.

By the 1970s British Rail had phased out mineral wagons, following the reduction in demand for coal and the development of hopper wagons.
