Worksplate, Birmingham Carriage & Wagon Builders, "Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company Limited Builders, Smethwick, England", reverse marked '18 June 1914 Battengorn Burn [sic, should read Baddengorm]', implying that worksplate was taken from one of the carriages involved in the Carrbridge rail disaster of 1914, probably ex Highland Railway third brake composite, No. 11 that was wrecked in the disaster, brass rectangle, 4"x1 3/4"
