Cast iron sign, Somerset & Dorset Joint Line, 'Trespassing on the railway' (white on green).

The text of this notice reads:

"Notice is hereby given that under the provisions of the 37th section of the South Western Railway Act, 1902, any person who shall trespass upon any of the lines of railway belonging or leased to or worked by the South Western Railway Company in conjunction with the Midland Railwa Company, shall on conviction be liable to a penalty not exceeding 40s/- & public warning is hereby given to persons not to trespass on the railway. Dated this 5th day of August 1903. Godfrey Knight, William Clower, Joint Secretaries."
