Cast iron sign, West Riding & Grimsby Railway. Public warning not to trespass, 1896.
This sign warns of the consequences of trespassing upon the railway.
It reads:
Persons trespassing upon any Railways belonging or leased to or worked by the Great Northern Railway Company solely or in conjunction with any other Company or Companies, are liable to a penalty of Forty Shillings under the Great Northern Railway Act 1896, and in accordance with the said Act public warning is hereby given to all persons not to trespass upon the said railways. By Order King's Cross, July 1986.
