Enamel sign - more room in the rear of the train

Enamel sign, white, "There is more room in the rear of train" with an arrow pointing left, Chromo, Wolverhampton.

In 1965 British Rail launched new branding that made public station signs and notices clear and easy to read. Before this date, sign style varied across the network and this made navigating stations harder, especially when advertising signs mixed with wayfinding signs, leading to confusion.
