This notice indicates that it wasn't just humans that could be caught trespassing on the railways, but animals too.

It reads:

Public warning by the Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland Company to persons trespassing upon their railways and to persons allowing their cattle or other animals to trespass thereon. That if either such trespass be committed after this warning, the offenders will be prosecuted under the Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland Act 1903. By Order. May, 1909.
