Telegraph block instrument; LMS (LNWR Fletcher's Style No. 4269). Combined 2-needle permissive pegging/non-pegging 3-position/3-indication. Has circular bakelite-commutator/permissive tell-tale window set in a large brass disc, and at RHS a permissive plunger and blockbell-tapper at bottom RHS (door), with underslung bell-dome. To top window-door RHS, there are 2 embossed-metal 'Absolute/Permissive' flaps, 1 for each needle. Claimed ex BR-Clapham.
