Ship's nameplate, 'Farringford', cast iron, blue with white lettering, ordered by the Southern Railway but not delivered until January 1948, built by Wm. Denny & Bros Ltd., Dumbarton for the Lymington to Yarmouth route, last used on Hull-New Holland service and withdrawn from service in 1981.
