Sack barrow, North Eastern Railway. Large parcel barrow with 2-wheels, boarded body and tall end stock. Marked "NER 4323" with "YORK (PASSR) 1-2-0" painted on.
A variety of different size trolleys and barrows were needed to transport passenger luggage or goods safely around the station. As the railways could be asked to carry virtually anything, this wheeled transport needed to be robust and versatile to ensure the goods remained undamaged while moving around the station.
