Crane: ex London & North Western Railway, timber platform-mounted crane. Max capacity 30cwt, ex LNWR Goods Shed, Malpas, Cheshire. H Pooley and Son Limited, Birmingham.

This crane was originally situated on a platform in a goods shed, at Malpas in Cheshire. It was used to load heavy goods into vans and wagons. Malpas operated both passenger and goods services, but goods traffic was its bread and butter. Goods operations finally ended in 1963, due to the rising competition of road haulage, and the station closed.
