Model steam train, 1/8 scale, comprising model steam locomotive, North Eastern Railway 2-2-2 No.9, Jenny Lind type, wood; model railway carriage, North Eastern Railway 4-wheeled 2nd class, and North Eastern Railway 4-wheeled `birdcage' parcel brake van, made at the Railway Carriage Shops at York and was carried in procession round the City by railwaymen to celebrate the inauguration of a nine-hour working day on January 1st 1872.
