Coating of silver spontaneously deposited from Mr. Woolrich's solution of silver in sulphite of potash. It was this discovery of Mr.J.S. Woolrich's patent no.9431, 1842, from whom this bottle with the silver coating inside was received in 1845, that laid the foundation of successful electro-plating
