Armband, Great North of England Railway, Police Brassard No.29. Overall: 131 mm x 155 mm.

The band depicts 3 crests: The crests of York, Newcastle & Durham. The motto 'Per Terra - Per Flumina' translates to ‘By Land- By Rivers’.

The Great North of England Railway opened in 1841. It ran for five years before combining with the Newcastle and Darlington Junction Railway, becoming the York and Newcastle Railway.
