Ceremonial Spade, Bradford Halifax & Keighley Railway, metal spade with wooden handle, engraved silver plaque attached to handle: "The First Sod of the Bradford & Thornton and Bradford Halifax & Keighley Railway was turned at Thorton Road, Bradford with this spade by Abraham Briggs Foster Esq. of Queensbury, Yorkshire on 10th March 1874".
