Watercolour, Dinting Vale Viaduct, by J.M. Baynes, London, 1846. (Possibly Thomas Mann Baynes?) Depicts the viaduct carrying the Sheffield, Ashton-under-Lyne & Manchester Railway line between Glossop and Woodhead. The viaduct has eleven stone approach arches, and five timber arches on top of stone piers. Two trains are crossing from opposite directions. In the foreground are fields, trees and grazing aniimals, and in the distance are hills. Framed and glazed.
