Painting, oil on canvas, The Level Crossing, Poole, by Henry Taylor Lamb, 1953. Depicts the level crossing on the High Street in Poole, Dorset. Groups of pedestrians walk across the crossing as the gates open after a train has passed. Men mount bicycles and motorcycles, and three boys look down on the scene from a footbridge over the railway. In the background are a large tree, shops and houses. Signed and dated by the artist at bottom right. Framed.
