Depicts a passenger train, hauled by 4-6-0 steam locomotive number 1112, crossing Headstone viaduct in Monsal Dale, Derbyshire. The viaduct is just visible at the bottom of the painting, with the train moving from left to right, and the steep-sided valley of the River Wye beyond. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Original artwork for London Midland & Scottish Railway poster. Unframed.
