Painting, oils on canvas, Crewe Junction, Evening (No.2), by Norman Wilkinson, about 1920. Depicts a London & North Western Railway 4-6-0 stam locomotive passing Crewe South signal box with an express passenger train at night. In the foreground are railway tracks, and the train is passing under a large signal gantry, leaving a trail of white smoke, lit by the glow from the firebox. In the background and on an adjacent track are other trains, and a railway workshops. Unframed.
