Painting, oil on canvas, The southbound Thames-Clyde Express nearing Ais Gill Summit hauled by Jubilee class 4-6-0 locomotive number 5611 Hong Kong in 1938, by R B Hugill, after a photograph by W. Hubert Foster, 1974. Depicts a threequarters view of the passenger train at Ais Gill on the Settle to Carlisle line, with smoke trailing from the chimney. In the background are the hills of the Yorkshire Dales. Signed and dated at bottom right. Framed, unglazed.
