Painting, GWR Air Services, by Pieter Irwin Brown of Ralph and Brown for the Great Western Railway, about 1932. Poster paint on art board, original artwork for a double royal poster. The design includes the GWR roundel and the words "Air Services" in orange, with the five main destinations listed in blue beneath. The aeroplane is a stylised representation of a Westland Wessex. Signed "Ralph & Brown" beneath the right wing of the aircraft. On the reverse is an ink stamp "Ralph & Brown Studios London" and the pencil inscription "1st Pictorial Poster GWR Air Services. Issued 1933". Water stains at bottom reverse, missing edges at bottom left and right, slight damage at top right.
