Painting, watercolour on board, South Eastern Railway Company, Channel Packet Hythe, about 1910. Depicts the South Eastern Railway paddle steamer leaving Dover, with foresails set. Just astern of the steamer are the sea wall and lighthouse. The name "Hythe" appears on the steamer's paddle box. Signed by the artist, lower right, with the word "Dover". At bottom left inscription "W Books. Kent Card N 18" and at bottom right "Channel P. South East Rail Company". Roughly mounted on card. Believed to be an illustration for a book, postcard or cigarette card.
