Painting, oil on canvas, Cornwall, by Jack Merriott, 1952. Depicts a scene in a Cornish fishing village, with boats docked in the harbour. A Penzance-registered fishing boat, with only one sail raised, is berthed alongside the wharf, as its catch is unloaded. More fishing boats are docked on the other side of the harbour, where houses ascend the side of a hill. Signed by the artist, bottom right. Framed. Original artwork for the British Railways (Western Region) poster 'Cornwall' in the Travel by Train series.
