Poster, London & North Eastern Railway The Forth Bridge on the London and North Eastern Railway of England and Scotland, by H G Gawthorn, 1928. Coloured lithograph depicting the bridge at night, set against the blue of the sky and the firth. The bridge is seen looking up from a pier at South Queensferry, where passengers disembark from a paddle steamer. A train, pulled by a steam locomotive, is crossing the bridge with orange light glowing from the footplate and carriages. Printed by David Allen & Sons Ltd., London. Format: quad royal.
