Poster, Great Western Railway, Historic, Romantic Exeter, the Centre for tours in Devon, by Leslie Carr, about 1931. Coloured lithograph depicting a procession of soldiers passing the Guildhall in an Exeter street during the seventeenth century. Possibly intended to represent the arrival of King Charles I and a Royalist army in Exeter in 1644, during the Civil War. Text beneath, with the city's coat of arms. Accompanying text gives details of local guide. Printed by Waterlow and Sons, London, Dunstable and Watford. Format double royal. Dimensions: 40 x 25 inches, 1016 x 635mm.
