Poster, Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits and Chemins de Fer du Nord poster, La Fleche d'Or/Golden Arrow, Train Pullman Quotidien' by William Spencer Bagdatopoulos, about 1929. Depicts a Pullman-Wagons-Lit carriage at a station platform, with a guard, three fashionably dressed young women passengers and a man in a suit, holding a trilby hat. One of the women, wearing a red dress and hat, walks away from the train.

Railway poster advertising the luxury Golden Arrow-La Fleche d'Or boat train service between London and Paris, about 1929. The all first class service was operated by the Southern Railway in England, where it was known as the Golden Arrow. In France it was run by the Chemins de Fer du Nord and called La Fleche d'Or, which means 'the golden arrow' in French. The luxurious carriages were provided by the Pullman Car Company and the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (which in French means 'the International Sleeping Car Company'). The express boat trains between London Victoria and Dover stations in England and Paris Nord and Calais in France stations connected directly with the ferry service. The artist, William Spencer Bagdatopolous, was a painter and commercial artist who produced many poster designs, including a series advertising Indian railways.
