Poster, Southern Railway, Progress Posters No.1, Electrification!, by T D Kerr, 1925. Coloured lithograph lines of electric multiple unit trains, a signal gantry and viaduct, seen from above. Text reads "Electrification, World's Greatest Suburban Electric, 700 miles of Southern Railway will be electrified by spring next year - 3 new sections open this summer - 3 electric for every steam train now running ---Total Cost £8,000,000, Southern". At the top and bottom of the poster six-car electrical multiple units are depicted.
