Poster, Great Western Railway, Cornwall, Land of Legend, History and Romance, by J P Sayer, about 1934. Depicts a map of Cornwall, laid out as in an open book, with scenes from history and legend at various locations. The Cornish crest is at top left, and at bottom right are the GWR roundel and coat of arms, with the words "Route to Beauty and Pleasure" and "G.W.R" and "S.R." to represent the Great Western Railway and Southern Railway. Across the bottom of the poster appear the words "A fascinating book by S.P.B. Mais, 'The Cornish Riviera' is obtainable at Booksellers and G.W.R. stations, 2/6 cloth-bound, 1/- paper covers". In the bottom margin at left is the text "No 51, Paddington Station, London WC2", at centre "Printed by Jordison & Co. Ltd., London & Middlesbrough" and at right "James Milne, General Manager". Format quad royal.
