Poster, Great Central Railway, Step On at Grimsby for the Continent, 1911. Coloured lithograph depicting a map of northern Europe showing Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, and part of England's North Sea Coast. A large pair of feet walk onto the bow of a ferry at Grimsby, with the routes to Antwerp, Rotterdam, Hamburg and Esbjerg identified. There are figures of three welcoming women in national dress in Holland and Belgium. Accompanying text reads "Through fares by new saloon steamers, inclusive charges for individual travel and conducted parties, for particulars apply at any Great Central Station or agency, Dean & Dawsons offices & Port Master, Grimsby Docks. Sam Fay, General Manager." Format: quad royal. Dimensions: 40 x 50 inches, 1016 x 635mm.
