Poster, London & North Eastern Railway, The Yorkshire Coast, by Laura Knight, 1929. Coloured lithograph depicting four young women throwing balls on a sandy beach. This poster was described by A C R Carter, art critic of the Daily Telegraph in an article quoted by Cecil Dandridge in the LNER Magazine for April 1929, page 178. Carter referred to the poster featuring "a very lively group of athletic nymphs disporting on some Yorkshire beach". Printed by John Waddington Ltd., Leeds & London. Format: quad royal. Dimensions: 40 x 50 inches, 1016 x 1270mm.
