People are walking round the gardens, and beneath is a jetty and the pier. There are yachts and pleasure craft close to the shore, with larger vessels further out to sea. In the distance is the Kent coast. Text below, with mention of Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-Sea, Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness. Additional text advertises a guide book. At the bottom of the poster is the British Railways 'totem' logo. Text in the bottom margin reads "Published by the Railway Executive (Eastern Region) (A.R. 7041), Printed in Great Britain, Waterlow & Sons Limited, London and Dunstable". Format quad royal.
