Poster, Great Western Railway, London Midland & Scottish Railway, London & North Eastern Railway and Southern Railway, 'In War and Peace We Serve' by Reginald Mayes. Coloured lithograph depicting an express train of each of the four railway companies rushing forward, under the flags of the five original members of the United Nations Security Council (the United Kingdom, Republic of China, USA, USSR and France). The trains are respectively headed by a GWR King Class locomotive and the streamlined Coronation, A4 and Merchant Navy classes of the LMSR, LNER and Southern Railway. No. 574.
