The train includes an open third class carriage and two wagons carrying horse-drawn carriages. The background is a tricolour, in the order red, white and blue rather than the blue, white and red of the French flag. Outside of the circle the red and white bands are striped in a radiating pattern. Text reads "London & Dover Railway. Open throughout. Fast trains continually in communication with rapid steamers to France from the two ports of Folkestone & Dover".
