Poster, Midland Railway and Glasgow & South Western Railway, 'To See the Land o' Burns, Travel by the Midland & G. & S. W. Rys the Only Direct Route', about 1914. Depicts a map of Ayrshire featuring the principle towns served by the railway, including Burns' birthplace of Alloway, with the poet Robert Burns standing on the map at right, with a sheaf of paper in his left hand. Text at bottom right reads "Printed by Andrew Reid & Compy Ltd, 50 Grey Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne". Format double royal.
