Poster, British Railways (Western Region), Barmouth, Queen of the Cambrian Coast, by Henry Stringer, 1962. Coloured lithograph depicting an attractive young woman wearing 'traditional' Welsh dress. She is leant against a bank on a hillside, with the town of Barmouth below, and the Mawddach estuary and mountains beyond. Accompanying text gives details of a guide book. Below are the words "Travel by train" and the British Railways 'totem' logo. Text in the bottom margin reads "Published by British Railways (Western Region), PR144(a)62, Printed in Great Britain by Jordison & Co., Ltd., London and Middlesbrough". Format double royal.
