Poster, British Railway (North Eastern Region), Yes dear, about 1960. Coloured lithograph depicting a humorous cartoon of a broken down car. Set against a blue background, with stars and a smiling half moon, a broken down motor car is seen in profile. The bonnet is raised and a man leans in towards the engine, throwing out a spanner, hammer, spring and nut. His wife is sat crouched against the car, with her handbag in her lap. The text of their conversation is printed below: "John. Yes Dear. We should have gone by train. Yes Dear. We'd have been there by now. Yes dear". Printed in the bottom right margin is the text "Issued by British Railways (North Eastern Region).
