Poster, Southern Railway, Southampton Docks, King George V Graving Dock by Donald Maxwell, 1933. Coloured lithograph showing the royal yacht 'Victoria and Albert' in the dock on the day of its opening . The yacht is flying the white ensign at its stern and royal standard on the mast. On either side of the dock are stands for spectators. Text above and below the illustration. Additional text beneath reads "Opened by H.M. The King July 26th 1933 in royal yacht 'Victoria and Albert', The largest graving dock in the world". Reference in bottom margin reads "2446 2000/1933".
