Poster, Southern Railway, Wells in Smiling Somerset by Michael Reilly, 1931. Coloured lithograph depicting Wells Cathedral and the tiny city of Wells, with the Mendip Hills beyond. Text reads "The only complete Cathedral city centre for the Mendips". Beneath are woodcut-style illustrations of the nearby tourist attractions of Cheddar, Burnham-on-Sea, Glastonbury, Weston-super-Mare and Wookey Hole. Reference ref. AD 1744.
