Seal die, steel, Sheffield and Midland Railway Companies Committee, on the left is the device of the Midland Railway which has been modified from the original seal, on the right is the device of the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, surrounding the armorial devices are the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales, the rose of England and the Irish clover, incorporated 1872, engraved by Wyon, Regent St. London.
