Seal, Stockton & Darlington Railway, die, steel, horse pulling four chaldron wagons with motto ‘PERICULUM PRIVATAM UTILITAS PUBLICA’ - ‘at private risk for public service’. Incorporated on April 19th 1821, opened 27th September 1825 and absorbed by the North Eastern Railway on 28th July 1862.
