No.2092 Barlow's patent 'motometer' speed indicator & watercolour sketch.

This "motometer," patented by Mr. A. Barlow in 1875, is designed to show on a dial the speed of a revolving shaft, in rev. per min.; it differs from most appliances of the class in that it is a combination of a clock and a counter, and gives a result that has been averaged over a definite interval.
