The Baird Townsman, made in the United Kingdom c. 1949.

This television receiver in its Art Deco cabinet was available in two models, the Townsman, for reception close to the transmitter, and the Countryman, for areas further away. Many of the surviving sets are 'Birmingham' models, pre-tuned to the new transmitter opened at Sutton Coldfield in December 1949.
